Résumé du projet
Crohn’s Disease (CD) is a chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) that has a significant impact on society, with an increase prevalence and a major impact on patients’ quality of life. CD is characterized by an immune system dysregulation in individuals bearing genetic susceptibilities. T cells participate to the mucosal inflammation during the course of the disease. Recently, lympho-epithelial interactions were shown to be deleterious for epithelial cells in Crohn’s disease patients through mechanisms that are still poorly understood. Direct contact and soluble factors may, independently or cooperatively, impact these interactions. Hence, we aim to determine the T cells involved in the disruption of the epithelium in CD and the functions associated to these cells. This project may lead to the determination of new pathways involved in the pathophysiology of CD.
